Welcome to the Dana Farber/Harvard Cancer Center DNA Resource Core

Our services fall into two main categories:

1. DNA Sequencing Services (sample preparation and sequencing with user-supplied or core-supplied primers).  Follow the link to the new user information page for sequencing services, where you can learn how to set up an account and then log in to order sequencing.  The **current turn-around time is under 24 hours** from the time your samples are picked up to the time data are available on-line (Mon to Thurs) or within two business days (for samples dropped off on Fri, Sat, or Sun).  Your sequence data and an accompanying quality report for each sequence run are made available via a secure web interface compatible with Mac or PC.  New users are always welcome and special pricing is available for large batch orders.
2. Plasmid Clone Services (storage and distribution of plasmid clones and a searchable database of information).  The end of plasmids getting lost forever in the back of a disorganized freezer!  The end of spending your precious time shipping plasmids to other laboratories!  If you frequently get requests for plasmids, consider using our distribution service.  We use an automated system to store clones and have standard procedures for quality control.  Searching our database and storing clones with us are both free services.  If you want to order clones from the collection, you'll have to set up an account and then set up a login and password before you can place an on-line order for clones.  Robotics support allows us to array your order in an experiment-driven format, provided the clones have the same resistance marker.
